Nothing could be very scenic than seeing the ocean waves crash onto the sands’ surface in Route 104. Though the diplomat didn’t come here often, she always gets reminded of the water around Hulbury, the port town that she got to visit when the royal was younger. There is no ships sailing around the far waters of the Hoenn sea, much to her disappointment, so she’s happy to take her shard Calyrex in experiencing the world that the real High King can’t.[break][break]

Elise wonders how the real Calyrex is doing. He couldn’t leave his post at the Dyna Tree in Ever Grande due to being the creator of the barrier that kept out giants. [break][break]

“You like the ocean too, don’t you?” The female Galarian royal's question directs itself at Charles when the small hare king watches the shallow waves wash over the sand. “Cro-rown.” An answer comes from the small regal hare while the female Marshadow picks up sand with her fingers.

Roze had stretched her arms high up above her head, doing some rather rudimentary light calisthenics as she'd slowly stepped onto the warm sands of the beach. Patting her Altaria's head with a warm smile. It hadn't been that long since Roze had moved to Hoenn, and despite the island region's vast expanse, it was this quiet little beachside that had reminded her most of home. The lapping of the waves, the slight spray of salt in the air as she took in the sights and sounds.[break][break]

While part of it had been some ever-so-slight homesickness, Roze had been interested in the wildlife here, alongside the chance to meet anyone new, considering she'd moved to a place where she'd had no real contacts. She could spot splashes across the vast ocean that glittered in the expanse out beyond, decent indicators of a teeming sea life, alongside countless aquatic bird pokémon fluttering about in the air. Shielding her eyes from the sun with a smile, she'd walked aimlessly, taking in the sights and making a mental note of the different creatures and critters within view.[break][break]

It wasn't particularly long for her to notice another person on the beach, though it had taken a bit for her to pull herself away from her own little mental study of the beachside around her to properly to greet the stranger. The raven-haired girl had waved from the distance, unsure if the stranger had even noticed her yet—her own Altaria following closely behind with a slight chirp—"It's a wonderful day, isn't it?" she'd rather happily called out to the person and her pokémon.

Towards the ranger that greeted her, the diplomat knows that there is a little influx of people that joined the rangers lately. “It’s very nice to meet you.” She’d greet the other woman and her Pokemon while her Marshadow and Calyrex give their greetings to the Pokemon beside the other lady too. “I take it that you are one of the newer rangers?” [break][break]

A Honchkrow comes to circle around the two Pokemon owned by the royal ambassador. Veyle the Marshadow looks up to see the bird coming to swoop at her as the ghost dodges out of the way. With a fist encased in ice, the female Marshadow goes for a right hook with her Ice Punch and slows down the Honchkrow enough that Elise tosses a Dusk Ball towards the bird.

Roze had been slightly caught off guard, though chuckled nonetheless, "you hit it right on the mark," she'd said in a rather amused tone. She hadn't thought that she was that easy to discern as a Ranger considering she'd been in civilian clothes for now, but it wasn't that big of a deal to her. "Roze Falkner, pleasure to meet you," she'd added further with a slight curtsy, "and you are?"[break][break]

Curiosity had taken hold of Roze and her Altaria, naturally, considering that beside the woman she'd just met, had been a pair of pokémon she'd never encountered before. She'd curiously looked over and studied the unique pokémon from where she was, rather amazed with how quickly the ghost pokémon dealt with the Honchkrow and just how effortlessly her trainer had caught the pokémon. With a slight applause, Roze's curiosity had gotten the better of her, "say, this may be a little strange and impolite considering we'd just met, however... is it quite alright if I ask what sort of pokémon you have with you? I don't quite recognise either of them,"[break][break]

Though despite her curiosity, something else had caught her attention as her Altaria had chirped a little ways closer towards the waters, standing at the edge considering a slight aversion to the water—Cloudy wasn't particularly fond of her cotton feathers getting drenched too often—she'd drawn her trainer's attention to a Lumineon that had seemed to edge closer, practically face-to-face with her Altaria. "Oh, pardon me for a moment," Roze had quickly said before tending to the situation in a hurry, there'd been a look of concern on her face, ever the knowledgeable—borderline obsessed—she'd recalled that Lumineon were typically pokémon that resided along the ocean floor, and the first thing that had came to mind was that perhaps the Neon pokémon had been injured.[break][break]

Yet her fears seemed to be unfounded, thankfully, the luminescent fish had seemed perfectly healthy and just as healthy as Cloudy considering the two seemed to be playing some sort of game mimicking one another's movements, with Cloudy seeming to sing and even step closer into the waters despite her aversion to getting her wings wet outside of a bath. By the time Roze had made it to her Altaria, it seemed the two were fast friends, considering how playful the two seemed to be acting around one another. "My, what are you doing up here?" Roze had asked the wild pokémon as she crouched down to try and match their height, if he hadn't been injured, perhaps he'd been displaced from his usual environment by outside forces, or that this was simply atypical behaviour, perhaps spawning patterns due to the seasonal change. Nonetheless, she'd rather simply offered a poké ball to the Lumineon, not particularly minding if he wished to swim away but nonetheless silently offering the pokémon a chance to spend more time with a new friend, a gentle smile on her face as she worked with her preferred method of catching pokémon. She'd most certainly been curious but, she could find out the unusual patterns later.

With the other ranger giving a curtsy, the Galarian Ambassador does it too. Hers is a little more practiced, given that she is used to greeting people like that. “A pleasure to meet you as well.” A courteous reply comes towards the polite greeting from the other female ranger. “My name is Elise Calcifet.” [break][break]

Every Galarian would know that her surname was one of royalty. That surname was tarnished by the fact that her aunt, the Queen, continued her rule with an iron fist over the country.[break][break]

Roze’s question comes towards the pair of Pokemon that were with the ambassador as Elise takes note of the other ranger’s curious Altaria too. “Oh yes, I wouldn’t mind. These Pokemon that I have with me are Veyle the Marshadow and Charles the Calyrex.” Both the female Marshadow and the rabbit king give Roze and her Altaria a greeting.[break][break]

Orange eyes from the Marshadow take the sight of a wild Seel that came across the ghost and her kingly friend. When the seal Pokemon wanted to spar with the Marshadow for a bit, the ghost moves first with a Thunder Punch. The Thunder Punch from the Marshadow would end up fainting the Seel and Elise throws a Dusk Ball from her pack to attempt to catch it.

The conservationist's expression had perked with a hint of surprise upon hearing the surname, she'd been aware of it given that she was Galar-born, though admittedly despite how well-studied Roze was... most of her studies pertained to environmental biology, pokémon habits and how to take care of them, she'd been far too in love with nature to really focus on much else as embarrassing as it may have been to admit. Nonetheless, given that she was fairly certain nothing she could do would really do the conversation justice in terms of what seemed to be their mutual Galarian blood, she'd simply smiled and nodded to assure she'd remember the name.[break][break]

She'd nodded further as Elise had introduced her pokémon, about as curious about them as she was about the woman of royal blood that seemed to be standing in front of her, though likewise she'd felt it might be too rude to let her curiosity get the better of her over another's pokémon—worse if she'd stress them out by not considering how they might react to her behaviour if she did. She'd chuckled to herself a little, hiding her mouth with her hand, it seemed she'd need to study up tonight, with three new topics she'd need to try and find out more about on top of the curious Lumineon sighting.[break][break]

"They're rather lovely," she'd offered a compliment, though it seemed the moment of sparring had drawn some further attention, a Carracosta of all things, seeming to trudge closer having been attracted by the commotion and wanting some action for herself—or perhaps she'd been antsy and territorial, nonetheless, with a quick two-fingered whistle, from what seemed clearly to be quite some time spent practicing, Cloudy had sprung into action, interposing herself between the wild pokémon and the two Galarians, a soft lullaby echoing out as she'd Sung the Carracosta to sleep, with the conservationist tossing a ball the fossil pokémon's way. It was clear she wasn't particularly fond of causing too much of a fuss, preferring to settle things more peacefully if she could.[break][break]

"So, what brings you out here on a fine day like this, Elise?" she'd swivel-turned with a smile.
